This flooring is made completely from natural wood, but is fashioned into a cross-ply construction. This allows it to resist growing, shrinking, or mildewing due to humidity and temperature changes. Engineered hardwood can also be installed below or above grade, even over concrete.


Engineered hardwood is usually the only type of hardwood that is recommended for use below grade.
